STARTING MAY 28, 2021 FACE MASKS WILL NO LONGER BE REQUIRED TO VISIT THE SPRINGFIELD ART MUSEUM

In response to the Springfield City Council vote on May 17, 2021, face masks are no longer required to visit the Springfield Art Museum beginning on May 28, 2021. However, face masks and social distancing will still be welcomed at our facility. All public programs remain cancelled through July 1, 2021. The Family Art Lab and Book Nook remain closed through July 1, 2021, as well.

As a department of the City of Springfield, Missouri, The Museum has been closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) reports on COVID-19 and following recommendations and ordinances from City leadership, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department, the state of Missouri, and the federal government.

The Museum appreciates our patrons’ continued patience and understanding as we navigate constantly changing public service operating guidelines during this ongoing public health situation. We will continue to make additional refinements to our disease prevention and pandemic response procedures as necessary.

For more information about COVID-19, please visit the Springfield-Greene County Health Department’s website (https://www.springfieldmo.gov/5068/Coronavirus) or the CDC’s website: (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html).
