In response to City of Springfield ordinance, face masks are required to visit the Springfield Art Museum as the city moves into the Yellow Phase of the Road to Recovery plan. The Museum will adhere to all City and County orders in order to ensure the health and safety of all Museum patrons, staff, and the works of art entrusted to our care.As a department of the City of Springfield, Missouri, The Museum has been closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) reports on COVID-19 and following recommendations and ordinances from City leadership, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department, the state of Missouri, and the federal government.All previous guidelines remain in place. If patrons foresee any issue following the guidelines, including but not limited to wearing a face mask, we respectfully ask that you refrain from visiting the Museum at this time. Marked pathways are located along the floor to indicate the best route between galleries. Security Officers, Gallery Attendants, and other Museum staff will be available to answer your questions and help you navigate changes to Museum-going procedures. All Museum public programs (tours, workshops, classes, etc.), special events, and event rentals remain canceled until further notice. In addition, the Family Art Lab & Book Nook remain closed until further notice.The Museum appreciates our patrons’ continued patience and understanding as we navigate quickly changing public service operating guidelines during this unprecedented public health situation.
