This will be the 56th exhibition of Watercolor USA, a national, annual juried exhibition recognizing aqueous media painting. The event is open to artists from all 50 states and US territories judged for a variety of prizes and possible purchase by the Museum. This year's exhibition is judged by Laurin McCracken, President of the Watercolor USA Honor Society. Approximately $20,000 in cash and Museum purchase awards are available; top awards are $3,000, $2,000 and $1,500 cash. Additional cash awards are generously provided by the Watercolor U.S.A. Honor Society.
Organized in 1962 by the Springfield Art Museum, this event aims to attract the best in contemporary American watermedia and strives to exhibit work by artists who are pushing the boundaries of the medium.

Join Robert Langford, local artist and art educator from Branson, MO, as he discusses his award-winning painting, Saturday Morning.
Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 1 PM
Join Rachel Wood, a local artist from Ozark, MO who is an art educator in the Branson Public School District, as she discusses her award-winning large-scale installation, Realizations of Change.
Artist talks will be held in the Weisel and Kelly Galleries.
