Art Classes & Workshops
The Springfield Art Museum offers a variety of classes for children and adults, including drawing, painting and pottery. Classes run for 4-8 weeks and are offered in the fall, winter, and spring. Fall classes will begin in September.

Plein Air Paint Out Day: A day for both beginning and experienced painters to connect and paint outside on the grounds with a midday lunch and small outdoor exhibition at the end of the day.
Beginners will be provided with supplies and instruction.
Experienced painters are welcome to RSVP and join the fun!
Classes Through Abilities First:
Check out the Winter/Spring semester class schedule of our new community partner Art Inspired Academy! Art Inspired Academy is a program of Abilities First and offers inclusive creative arts classes for all ages at various locations throughout Springfield. Several classes for children and adults will be held at the Springfield Art Museum this spring. You must register through Abilities First. For more information or to register, visit:
Class Refund Policy:
Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment. You will be notified and given a full refund if a course for which you are registered does not have sufficient enrollment.
You can withdraw from a course and receive a full refund after the first class meeting. You must request your refund before the second class meeting. After that time, there will be no refunds.
On days when Springfield Public Schools are cancelled due to weather, classes at the Art Museum are also cancelled. Make-up classes are scheduled at the discretion of the instructor.
In the case of Saturday classes, instructors will contact students by email or phone if class is cancelled due to severe weather.
